Using semiotics and qual to optimise comms

CASE STUDY

A creative and strategic development project with long term vision.

A young woman with long hair and glasses looking at illuminated neon signs on a wall in a dimly lit room, creating a colorful and vibrant atmosphere.
Colorful heart-shaped puzzle with yellow, red, teal, purple, and blue pieces.

To understand the impact of all messaging elements on communication response, we conducted a semiotic analysis with our semiotic partners, followed by qualitative exploration:

  • Semiotic investigation into the cultural meaning inherent in the category’s signs, symbols, words and visuals: RDE analysis.

  • Exploring the brand’s comms and fit with category conventions.

  • Qualitative deep dive into current comms and competitive context.

  • Interim workshop to springboard development of new creative.

  • Final qualitative to test and optimise comms.
